Hi! My name is Jess and I’m a NASM-certified personal trainer studying to be a registered dietitian! I graduated from UC Berkeley in 2019 where I earned my Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutritional Science - Physiology and Metabolism. Currently, I’m living in Los Angeles and attending the University of Southern California to earn my Master of Science Degree in Nutrition, Health, and Longevity.
Growing up, I was always my happiest when I was active, but my passion for nutrition began when I left home and was on my own. I found my love for weight lifting when I was a college freshman, but I didn’t have the slightest idea about how to properly fuel my body with nutrition. At first, I was confused by all the fad diets and nutrition jargon that was being thrown around on social media, but over time I learned how to shuffle through all the BS and learned how to decipher what was actually backed by science. I understand the pressures of trying to achieve the perfect body and I’ve even had my own struggles, but my goal is to steer you away from the mindset that food is only meant to be restricted in order to reach your goals.
As your nutrition coach, I will constantly remind you that nutrition isn’t meant to be used as a form of punishment. Instead, it should be used to fuel your workouts and energize you as you go through your everyday life. Most importantly, nutrition should be something you enjoy. Everyone has different life circumstances and different schedules, which means there is no one-size-fits-all for eating. My mission as your nutrition coach is for us to work together to discover healthy eating habits that are sustainable and enjoyable for you and your lifestyle. I’m here to keep you accountable to help you reach and maintain your goals for the long run!
